Backend
As a breaking change the introduction of "Master Teams" comes with this release. These Master Teams will hold general information on a team that does not change year on year (such as age group assignment, uniforms, social media channels, etc.). These Master Teams are also used to apply for a league to play in for the upcoming season (Mannschaftsmeldung). When a team has been approved to play in a league by the responsible association, a "Season Team" is created. This team inherits all details from the Master Team and is then used for team management (e.g. squad nominations, staff, pictures, etc.). It automatically shows all available players of the age group and if applicable the age group below. For a new season the player information from the previous year is kept, removing players who change age group and adding players that moved up into the eligible age groups.
This change also caused adjustments in the selection and filtering of teams in various places of the system.
With the onboarding of the county and regional associations, additional match formats have been added to the system. Due to this there is no fallback to the default 4x15 match format. To accommodate the match format field has been set to mandatory. Users are able to select the match format from a pre-defined set. This is also reflected in the live ticker input.
For some leagues, e.g. with a single round-robin, it has become necessary to change the home and away teams, which has been introduced in this release.
Club Management
For Club Managers a set of usability improvements has been added:
- Extension of search and filter capabilities for teams
- Limitation of selectable persons to the club relevant members for teams
- Removal of the need for a mandatory main club contact.
